Delete your Nkosoɔ account

Nkosoɔ is made by Crevion Commons LLC. Deleting your account is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete it in the app (fastest, and the only self-service route)

  1. Open Nkosoɔ and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Export a backup if you want to keep a copy of the teams you own. This is offered first, because once you hand a team over you can no longer export it.
  4. For each team you own, hand it to a teammate or delete it. You cannot delete your account while you still own a team.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm.

What is erased

  • Your account and every record of it on our relay servers.
  • Your sign-in identity.
  • Everything stored on the device you delete from — projects, tasks, comments, encryption keys and local backups. If the app is interrupted mid-way, it finishes the erasure the next time it opens.
  • Any team you chose to delete is erased on our relay, and every member's device is asked to erase its copy the next time they open the app.

What is not erased, and why

Nkosoɔ works offline, so every teammate holds a full copy of your shared team's data on their own device. That is what makes the app work without a connection, and it limits what any deletion can promise. We would rather say so here than claim more than we can do.

  • Work you contributed to a team stays with that team. Tasks you created and comments you wrote remain in your teammates' copies. We have no way to reach into someone else's device and remove them.
  • Your other devices. Deleting from one device erases that device and your account. Delete from each device you still use, or uninstall the app there.
  • Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — the store handles billing, not us. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings or you will keep being charged.
  • The downloaded AI model files (several gigabytes). These are managed by Google Play / the App Store, are shared with your operating system, and contain none of your data. Remove them by uninstalling the app.
  • Server diagnostic logs, which expire on their own schedule and are not searchable by account.

If you cannot open the app

Ask us here. Enter the email address your account uses — we will send a short challenge to it, and erase nothing until you answer. We do this because otherwise anyone who knew your email address could have your account destroyed. Requests are handled by a person, not automatically — allow a few working days.

Using Apple's Hide My Email? Your account is registered under a private relay address like something@privaterelay.appleid.com, not under your personal address, and we cannot match a request sent from the latter. Please delete in the app instead, or enter the private relay address here.
